What is a Mobo?

A picture speaks 1000 words. The white square with the tiny holes is where the CPU would go. The fan in the middle covers the Northbridge chip (memory controller & other functions) The white bars along the top left are your PCI slots for the daughter cards, and the brown slot in the middle is for your AGP video card. The four black bars with white ends towards the bottom right are your DIMMS for memory and the multi-colored connectors on the bottom left edge are your IDE and floppy controller connectors. The vertical yellow connectors on the far left are only used for drives that you want to RAID. The power connector is on the top right.
