What is a mickey (alcohol)?

Slipping someone a mickey is serving someone a drugged drink, usually something with rohypnol or something like this.

Do you mean: "To slip someone a Mickey" that is to drug there drink.
Mickey's however is a malt liquor beverage that comes in 40oz bottles or small grenade style bottles.

GEORGE: Im gonna slip him a mickey.
JERRY: What? In his drink? Are you outta your mind? What? Are you Peter Lorre?
GEORGE: You dont understand. He's got this big party coming up. He's been looking forward to this for months. This is gonna destroy the whole thing.
JERRY: What if you destroy him?
GEORGE: No. No. No. No. No. Dont worry. It's perfectly safe. I researched it. He'll get a little woozy. He might keel over.
JERRY: Well, wha - what does that do? Big deal.
GEORGE: This is what they would do in the movies! Its a beautiful thing! Its like a movie! Im gonna slip him a mickey!
JERRY: Youve really gone mental.
GEORGE: Nah.
JERRY: Where are you gonna get this mickey? I can?t believe Im saying "mickey"!
GEORGE: I got a source.

EXACTLY what I was watching which made me ask this question.

Every canadian that I've talked to that has had to verbalize the idea of a half-fifth of hard liquor used the term mickey.

mickey = 13oz (half-fifth)
forty = 40 oz bottle
two-four = 24-pack of beer

'texas mickey' = HUGE bottle (don't know how big)

EDIT: Around here, "slipping someone a mickey" is giving someone booze in order to get something you want.

The original "Mickey" in "Slipping soandso a Mickey" was Morphine. Now there are far more... "elegant" substances that are in use. But you get the idea.

That, and "Mickey's" is a type of malt liquor (think strong beer) that usually comes in small, almost round bottles. Whenever I party, that's what I drink.

Yeah, the phrase slipping someone a mickey probably originated around the turn of the century.
