Hey people, I have a large dataset of wind velocities that supposedly follow a lognormal distribution. If I want to display this distribution does it involve anything other than plotting the x value (wind velocity) vs the # of occurrences (y value)? The plot I have now resembles a bell curve.
I suppose the main question is what does the term "lognormal distribution" imply? Is it simply a certain shape that results when you plot up the distribution of data or do you actually take the natural log of your data and plot those values somehow?
