What is a J2me portal?

Someone asked me what a J2ME portal was. I looked in a book that I have for J2me and couldn't find anything. I also searched the web (google, various forums including this one, and wiki's) looking for the answer. Does anyone have a clue about this?? Thanks,

A web portal (site) that cell phones can view I think...

J2ME = Java 2 platform Micro Edition, for portable devices. As opposed to J2SE for desktop PCs and J2EE for enterprise/big servers.

Any other suggestions as to what a "portal" is in respect to the J2ME or MIDP platforms? Thanks

a portal in the web context is a site that u access to gain access to other resources.
for example, if you go to www.ibm.com.. all the links you see there won't be on the same server. if you go to alphaWorks, you'll be on one server.. if you go to developerWorks, you'll be on another server.. but as far as you know, you're still on the same server.

i can only assume that it would be no different for j2me.
