The Dell TrueMobile 1150 is a favorite of mine (its basically a rebadged Orinoco)... you can get it at Dell Software and Peripherals for about $50. Or, with judicious use of coupons, you can get it significantly cheaper.

Orinoco are really good as are linksys. D-link is alright if you are on a budget

I've used linksys and netgear cards without any problems. If you just go to your local Best Buy / Office Depot, that's what you're going to find for about $60.

But, I have read that Orinoco is the best .

Just picked up an SMC EZ Connect 2.4GHz 11 Mbps (802.11b) wireless NIC at compusa last week for 39.99, with a 20 dollar mail-in rebate (yes, I am a cheap b@st@rd). It was easy to setup and works great. I use it in conjunction with a Linksys 802.11b WAP/Router, and I get excellent range and speed.
