Hi everybody, I am planning on watercooling soon and want to find a good case to do the job. I currently have a DF-85 and want something that will be easer to get 2 rads into (ideally one triple and one dual) or a quad and a dual or single. so here is what i looked at already.

The
Pinnacle 24
from MM
The
U2-UFO
from MM
800D
Danger Den Water Box Plus

So far i really like the Pinnacle from Mountain Mods. I can fit a quad rad on top and maybe a single or dual rad on the front. It also seems to have quite a bit of room. But i really like the U2-UFO as well. It just has lots of space thus making it easer?

I dont really want to go over $350 on the case, but would love it to be lower ;).

Also it will be cooling: A i7 and a GTX 480
(both OC'ed)

Thanks!

I am rather worried of what the cable management would be like on the Pinnacle 24...

How far do you wish to take this hobby we call watercooling?

Are you watercooling just for the hardware? Or are you watercooling because you think its fun, and a way for you to expand on this hobby we call modding.

If your doing it for the hobby, then get the largest case you can possibly afford with floor room.

That would probably mean, a Mountain mods, Horizon style CYO, with the Pedistool option, to give you 2 floors to work with.

Single loops, is intro to our hobby, and doesnt require a lot of space.
Dual loops is where the moderate people run. This will require space.
Triple loops is where i think most people end it, this requires a pedistool on most occasions, as it requires 3 radiators.
More then 3, is just down right insane... but ive seen them. One which goes to ram, and hard drives, and SAS controller.
As i said down right INSANE.

I personally run 3 loops, on 4 radiators... 2 of which are stacked for the gpu sector.

Thanks aigomorla,

I want to water cool to get more performance out of my cpu, and maybe gpu later on. I also think it would be rather fun and exciting.

The Haf X and 800D look like promising cases, but what case do you use aigomorla?

I would almost rather not go with one of the HUGE MM cases... But if it is necessary i might...

Thanks

IF your not going to take it far, then a 800D is fine.

I use a Mountain Mods... with a Extra Pedistool, so its about the size of an ascension class, with double the floor room.

And unfortunately i still ran out of room. :D

I am thinking the TJ07... :hmm:

i miss the one i sold.

Its a great case, tons of options, and done right absolutely jaw breaking.

But once again, i sold it because i ran out of room. :D

To show u i ram out of room, this is just my Radiator Chamber on my Case... the pedistool part.

There is no way in hell i am gonna be able to fit just my radiators into any standard case.
