What is a good USB Bluetooth adaptor?

I just got my moto e815 and I am waiting for my usb cable/moto software in order to ATTEMPT to start unlocking all the features on the phone.

I don't know where to start but that is another story.

Anyways, I am looking for a cheap, but good USB bluetooth adaptor that will work well with the E815. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

You want a bluetooth adaptor and a USB cable? I think you only need one. If its anything like the Razr, any USB 2.0 cable is fine. I found a Sony PSP one for $5. I've seen the Mobile Phone Tools on Ebay bundled with a cable for $20 or so.

Bluetooth would be cool and all, but from what I've read the cheapest ones are like $30 (and only at places like Frys or online) with some up to $100. Since I'm only interested in copying a few things to my phone and modifying minor things, a simple cable is fine for me.

Howardforums.com has a good Motorola section that I've been reading. Also motomodders.net and some OSNN.net forums though the last one might be Razr only.

The usb cable is needed to actually mod the phone, you can't do that through BT.

Unfortunately, most of the other moto phones (afaik) don't have a USB port, so you usually have to buy their proprietary cable.

That's one of the main reasons I picked the RAZR, actually. That and it was ceap 😛

meh, i just got one that was FAR in TG a while back, it's some no-name, white case, that says bluetooth on it. I'd say get the cheapeast one that you can find a good review for.

I think geeks.com always has a few during their green light specials.

I should be receiving the motorola phone tools software v4.0 and the usb cables tomorrow in the mail. It only cost me like $25 on amazon.

I am still considering the bluetooth aspect. If i can't find an adaptor at a price I like, I may try to just use the cable only. So far, without modding the phone I really like it. But it will be modded tomorrow more than likely 🙂

Supposedly the motorola phone tools software that I ordered comes with a bonus CD with the tools/instructions to unlock the phone. I"ll see what is on it, but I already have all the tools downloaded on my comp ready also.

Well, what I really want is to be able to transfer my own ringtones (screw get it now....), my pictures, etc. I may just stick to the usb cable and get a good microSD card to keep MP3's on.

thanks, I"ll have to check it out.

i have the e815. i have a generic cheap usb dongle and a expensive Creative one. both works fine.

well the usb cable has worked fine for my purposes, so I've delayed buying a blueetooth adapter for a while.

My 1 GB microsd card comes tomorrow though so I will have a lot of mp3's to be transferring. But i'll probably do that through my SD card reader.
