What is a good setup for couch computing?

So, I have found that I spend a lot of time using my HTPC as a regular PC from my couch on my TV. I've been using this keyboard with build in trackball, but the trackball is starting to die.
So, I was thinking that I might do more gaming on this system, and was wondering is anyone had a good setup of KB+mouse that they found works well for when a game controller is not appropriate?

I never really found a way to be comfortable on the couch with a KB/Mouse setup...I often need to switch position, cross the other leg, etc and being sat down straight with a plank on the thighs is not cutting it for me...

Someimes I ended up sitting on the floor and having the hardware on the coffee table...but after half an hour I need to get up...

Maybe you could check for a tv dinner table or a dinner tray?

I use a adjustable 48 inch long card table that fits over my Lazy-boy recliner chair arms - not quite a couch set up though. I have heard of others using a bed breakfast tray type of thing on their lap with a K/M on it.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll give the TV tray thing a try, it looks like it might work. I had one like this stand up model but it was considerable too tall.

My couch sits about 15 feet from my PC, anyone have any experience using a wireless KB+M that far from their base?

I use a no-name compact BT keyboard and a Logitech Couch Mouse M515.
The M515 has a smooth snag free bottom, low power usage, off switch, and I have yet to find a surface it doesn't work on.
