What is a good running temp for Durons?

I have a Duron 700 with a KT7 board and usually run at 900 with only the multiplier at x9 [was never able to get any luck at ALL with the FSB] and Core Voltage at 1.85, even though the VIA monitors says it's 1.89.

My question is, it says in the VIA monitor that the Hysteresis? is at 40C and the OVER-HEAT is at 50C for my CPU and CASE. Where do these numbers come from? and what should I be concerned about after going above 40C and approaching 50C? My case stays WAY below this, but my CPU often gets above 40C.

Thanks for the help.

I have a ABIT KT7 and a Duron 700 that is OC to usually 900[multiplier only w/voltage at 1.85]. I have a FOP32 and have ArcticSilver compound. My CPU temps sometimes get to around 47-48C, and the generic VIA monitor says 50C is overheat for the CPU and 'hysteresis' is anything over 40C.

I am just wondering if operating at around 47-48C is a good thing or not, cause the VIA monitor is generic as hell and I cannot find any specific CPU temp information anywhere.

Thanks for any info.

I'd agree with Mikewarrior here the tempuratures you talk of shouldn't adversely affect your CPU however above 58 degrees is where I'd get worried tho I never allow mine to go above 48..
