Ok, my router recently stopped working, wired ports work but the wireless radio died. I see alot of nice routers with high speed and some fancy features but they all cost upwards of 80 or 100 dollars. I don't game, general usage is just maybe two or three computers going at a time, smart phones or ipods etc but i do have a roku...what is the best router I can get for around forty or fifty bucks?

thanks! Guy that works with me got a western digital mynet n750 at bestbuy...he reminded me they have them on sale for 49 bucks still. Seems like a good router for the money...anybody have any input on this router? Has ports for external storage which is kind of cool but not a must have

AFAIC if choices are done when the criteria is that somebody else is pleased by it without additional considerations, then BigMac/Whopper/other fast food, is the Best food in the world.

I do not know anything about the WD mynet n750.

I do know that it did not take well into the market, selling a Device that was released few months ago for half its release price might raise some doubts too.

That said given your environment and your Networking needs it might be that the anything that is working will be OK for you.

So in might be that getting the Western digital mynet n750 (make sure that it can be return easily), and giving it a try is a working idea

I agree with your points...weird it is selling so cheap. I had just assumed they were phasing it out or something and coming out with a new model. From specs alone it doesn't seem bad but I know west. dig. is alot better at drives than other stuff. I could take it back locally which is a plus, but they don't have it in stock anymore at my store...so makes it less attractive. Warranty would be better...seems some more research and reading is in order. The refurb linksys e2500 looks like a good deal it's def. on the short list. I am not needing the best router there is, but I don't want a pos either...or just whatever, or I'd just go to walmart and snag whatever they had on sale
