I stil have an old AMD 1800+ cpu and need a mobo for it. I would like to keep it under about $100 and be able to upgrade the 1800 cpu to maybe a 2400+ later on if possible? Are there any reliable mobos out there for under 100 bucks? I have pc2100 ram, im not sure if this type will work in the newer boards?

thx alot in advance :)

Many many good boards for way under $100. Look at the Shuttle AN35N Ultra and the Shuttle MN31N. They are both NForce2 chipset boards...very reliable and highly upgradeable (for CPU). Good luck. And yes, the PC2100 will work.
