what is a good price for this car?

10k. I would never pay much for a poseur mustang. Plus, price checks are illegal on Anandtech 😉

no

get a civic si for that money with a super charger.

you won't even need a super charger to dust that poser stang.

i know it is a poser but i cant afford anything more with college and all

as for the super charger, i dont want to void any warrenties, even if it is a limited warrenty

Why waste your money on a vehicle? Find yourself a used commuter car for MUCH cheaper. Cars are a bottomless money pit.

Supercharger comes with a warranty.
and what could possibly go wrong on a civic ? They're built to last.

Used 99 Civic Si for like 9g's 8g's for one with high miles ( but shouldn't really matter ) JR supercharger = 2.5g's + installl , maintainance and such should be around 12k maybe a lil over.

plus you'd be putting a lot down to the ground, for a civic.
also it'll make a great commuter

Not necessarily. My $200 car is worth over $10k now.

thats a very good point but my parents said they can afford $12,000 so i just want to get the best possible car for that much

and a civic is a better car than the mustang...

seriously, people bag on hondas all the time, but the fact is in terms of reliability/resale value, you can't beat a honda.

that mustang will be worthless in a few years.

I'll agree that something like a Civic wouldn't be a bad choice at all for a college student, but neither would a V6 Mustang. Honda and Toyota do tend to be the most reliable cars out there, but people still seem to be stuck in the 1970's when they think about American cars' reliability. My father has had three Explorers and has gotten over 150,000 miles out of two of them (the third was totaled when a motor home rear-ended dad and pushed him into a stopped semi, 110,000 miles and not problems at the point when it was destroyed). The current Explorer is still going. A Mustang is not going to give reliability problems as long as it's taken care of. The only problem I can see is that the V8 Mustang is famously bad in snow because it's nose-heavy and RWD. The V6 might be better since it would be less nose-heavy, but you'll want to look into it if your area gets snow. $12,000 for a one year old car is not bad, and the Mustang will be plenty reliable. A supercharged Civic is just asinine for a college student from a practicality standpoint. The maintenance requirements of a forced-induction engine are not what a college student needs.
