what is a good price for a used 20d?
also looking for some ones 18 - 55 that isnt in use

A friend of mine wants to get a 30d but since its not in his budget he is looking at a 20d, what would be the ideal price for one?

Also he is getting the 20d because he likes my 30d and doesn't like the feel of the ***d's; and when I get my 24-70 2.8l and my other lens's he can borrow one.

He is also looking for some ones 18-55 for dirt cheap any ideas would be great

He will have about 300$ ready for a new walk around lens any ideas ?

eBay prices are ~$500 for a 20D body, give or take $50. The 18-55mm kit lens is roughly $50, give or take $10.

Plus shipping.

Is that a good price? Hard to say. Why does your friend not like the feel of the xxxD series?

The grip is to small, he borrowed my XTi once then when I got the 30d he liked its grip much better

I would say that $475 is a good average price on forums like FredMiranda and POTN. Has your friend tried the Rebel series with the battery grip?
