For the athletes or health conscious people out there: What is a good online vendor to buy Muscle Milk Light from? Getting it from GNC is a lot more expensive, and I don't want to google a random site without any reputation. Thanks in advance!

I used to use netrition.com. They had really fast shipping and decent prices (at the time I used them). Now I'm poor and fat, but would use them again if conditions allow.

i've gotten stuff from 1fast400.com, supplementmarket.com, dspnutrition.com, and vitaglo.com

i would not recommend vitaglo.com regardless of their prices because they took their sweet old time to get my order when I'm 2 states away from where it was coming out of.

no complaints about the other 3.

Granted, I buy protein powder only once ever two to three months, but whenever I do, I just search Ebay for what I want and pick the best price/shipping combo.
Has always worked for me.

DPSNutrition.com

A couple of friends of mine run Nutribeast.com; they're basically a drop shipper, their prices aren't the lowest, but they're def cheaper than GNC. ATOT Effect?

DPSnutrition.com here...they had some deal running on EAS protein powder a while back. I got 5x 5lb tubs and a t-shirt for $125 shipped. (2 tubs went to a friend...it'll last me quite some time)

That being said, the EAS stuff clumps pretty badly and I'll be going back to ON next time.

Amazon also has good prices depending on what product you're looking at.

Plus if you EVER have a problem with an order you can be assured they do their best to have it fixed ASAP.

www.drumlib.com is like a pricewatch of supplements.

Here is the current cheapest source for ON 100% whey gold standard, 10 lbs.:

link

They have free shipping on orders over $50, which the whey definitely qualifies for.

This is cheaper than DPS, 1fast400, bodybuilding.com, etc.

nutraplanet.com very reasonable, and everything has taken < 2 days. Plus they often throw in free samples of new products.

I am new to this stuff, but I know I need more protein for my weightlifting (mostly vegetarian diet). Are there any scientific studies showing one source of protein is better than another?

I went to bodybuilding.com as mentioned above and looked at their lactose free protein powders (necessary for my digestion). Then I took those results into Excel, did some math, and looked at the cost per gram of protein. The cheapest three were:

1) NOW Soy Protein Isolate at 1.84 cents per gram of soy protein.
2) CytoSport Complete Whey at 2.02 cents per gram of whey protein.
3) Rose Acre Farms Dried Egg White at 2.13 cents per gram of egg protein.
Note: The most expensive was Xtreme Formulation Vendetta at 11.53 cents per gram of protein. So I could pay 5 times more if I wasn't careful in selection.

So, would all of those be about the same? Or is it known that either soy, whey, or egg has been proven to be better at building muscle?

Whey is best immediately post-workout because it is digested the quickest. Egg is a slow-digesting protein and would be used right before bed, since you won't be able to eat for the next 7-8 hours.

In my experience however, it doesn't make too much of a difference. I would just go with ON 100% whey, as it seems to be the best deal in terms of taste, protein content, mixability, and price.

I pick it up from Costco, if you have one nearby that might be worth checking out.

Check Slickdeals, there is a $25 off promotion on nutrition products

You can get a 10 lbs back for $79.80 - 25.00 = 54.80 with free shipping right now, as well as other supplements. This will be my first time using anything, but I've got a 10lbs bag of rocky road heading my way.
