I'm on a budget of about $800-900, and I already have a monitor and keyboard/mouse, but I need everything else. I would like the comp to be able to play graphic intensive games on atleast medium settings.

i assume you have socket 754? try the DFI LanParty nF3 250Gb. It's a great mobo that's full of features and overclocks extremely well. Assuming that it's socket 754, you may need to get an agp video card. if so, i recommend you get the 6800gs. it'll be able to play any game out right now on medium settings.

anyways, i believe there is a socket 754 board with pci-e, except i'm too lazy to newegg it up.

Yes, its the socket 754. But I might consider getting the 3500+, with the socket 939.

it depends what MB chipset you want to get. now a days, i look more at the MB chipset perfromance then anything else. I hear the ATi 580 mb chipset is suppose to rock the house of the NVidia SLi chipeset. Which is unfortunate for me because a half hour ago, i decided that I errrr possibly will go with the Nvidia chipset V-Card combonation. I am just sick of the BS with the Microsoft .NET frame work that is required for their drivers. Everytime i boot up and get to desktop, where ever my mouse is, it will automatically set it back to the middle of the screen. and say supposing you are trying to click on an icon, its just sucks. It happens EVERY time, no matter how many time i re-install, un-install, do this do that, try to fix it...

Good luck.
