Hey Everyone!

I'm building a rig this weekend, going to make it an Intel for my next gaming rig.

Anyway i was planning on goin with a P4 3.0Ghz 800FSB with Canterwood I875.

Not to sure what steppings to look for, or what manufacture to buy the Mobo from, so what makes a good pair these days, what about RAM too?

I was thinking Asus P4C800Deluxe With Any ole P4 3.0"C" i can find. And of course Corsair XMS DDR3200 Cas2.0. Any known good overclockers out there?

What can i expect on air cooling from a setup like that? Might use stock cooler, might use the Zalman 90mm hsf.

I need help on my homework! :)

Thanks for the Help!

Nice rig mroleg! I meant the "C" to stand for the 800FSB as in... 1.8a, 2.4b, 3.0c not stepping.

Anyway, what cooling are ya using mroleg, air @ 3.5Ghz, no volt bump?

Good question, I'd like to know too.

From what I've read the ABIT board ignores your manual RAM settings in BIOS, so while it overclocks your FSB, and consequently the CPU, quite well but in reality it does so by downclocking your RAM settings thereby sacrificing overall system performance.

I'd love for someone to call BS, I need to be educated soon because I've been waiting since Jan to hook up with Canterwood.
