basically I worked in the IT dept (of 3 people, a 'network engineer' and 'desktop technician' and I was a 'system support specialist' (basically some of everything) plus our boss, a 'systems admin'. There was another dept in the company that wanted to setup it's own little network, and then needed a bunch of phone stuff, and then someone to maintain the new 'mini network' of like 20 computers. We (the it dept) basically over the course of 3 years were becoming overwhelmed by this one dept. When they started asking us to do some video editing stuff it got to the point to where we were going to hire someone in our dept JUST to support them and their stuff.

Our boss ended up telling them to hire their own person. So.. I applied for the position (just for a change of pace) and got it.

Here's the thing... there isn't really a 'job title'. My boss told me to come up with something - basically I made the point that I don't want to be a 'video specialist' or something like that because it will screw me when i look for another job.

I do-
80% IT related network/desktop/AD server stuff.
10% other hardware related (not pc, company stuff, training related)
10% simple video editing

So. What's my job title?

Sounds like your old "System Support Specialist" job, just with a different internal customer...

Actually, job title at your company and the one you put on your resume can be totally different. BUT must just correspond with each other. Many companies have strange titles that other companies wouldnt understand. Come up with something appropriate for your job, but make sure you think hard for your resume :)
