What is a good internet radio?

My buddy told me that Launch was good and he pays like $30.00 a year and it plays a lot of different stuff and stuff that he likes. He says he can rate the music that he likes and then it will play that more often. I don't care if I have to pay; I think it would be beneficial to have a cool station to play continuous while I am at college. Thanks for reading.

I use Shoutcast for Internet radio. It's free :) and it has a really good selection. You can also search for stations and sort by bitrate. Unfortunately some of the better quality stations are hard to connect to since they are full.

I would like to listen to a lot of variety. I like rock the most, but I like some other stuff. Not just like the hottest stuff, I like some older stuff. So I would like the best variety station if you know of one. I heard that the launch has good variety.

Winamp + Shoutcast = free

lots of good stations too. it's how I get through work; we're too deep inside to pick up AM/FM signals, so we rely on internet radio.

It's our college radio station, but they broadcast over the web and I am ALWAYS listening to it. Great, great music and absolutely no commercials. College kids run it so the dj's don't sound scripted and boring, they just get up on there and tell what's playing. Seriously--the best music station EVER.
