What is a good CHEAP sound card for under 35?

turtle beach is to expensive i thought it was less b4?

any good soundcards for under that the sound card i am replacing is a friends and it is atleast 4-5 years old on a p2 400 i think what would be a good sound card for it for cheap?

The two best sound cards in that price range are the Creative Live! 5.1 OEM and the Hercules Fortissmo II. I guess the real question is, do you like Creative or not? I think the Hercules uses the same audio chip as the Santa Cruz by the way.

Just the basics and fortissmo shoul be good enough where is it the cheapest or is pricewatch a good hope combined with ANANDTECHS RESELLER RATINGS?

I never used anything better than no-name Yamaha YMF724 based from local shops.

Hercules Muse is a very good card, sounds sweet, you can get it for around 29.00
Iv'e installed 4 of these in computers I built for friends.

The Muse cards are half duplex. I don't know if the Muse XL cards are, but the original Muse sucked in my opinion. I promptly took mine back.
