What is a good book?

I like books like East of Eden, Of Mice and Men, Catcher in the Rye...etc. Any recommendations?

Ever read Animal Farm? That was pretty good.

Oh a new author I really like, sort of satirical, narrative...Nick Hornby. Check out High Fidelity and About a Boy...High Fidelity was made into a movie, EXCELLENT book. The movie was really good too, surprisingly. That hardly ever happens.

I read Animal Farm, I thought it was pretty good too. High Fidelity, I read a summary of the movie and it sounds really interesting, haven't got a chance to see it yet.

East Of Eden is my favourite book by an anglophone writer. One book that really surprised me since I did not expect much from it was Taipan by James Clavell. Excellent read. I also loved The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Here's a list of suggestions: titles galore.
