What is a good ~$20 HSF for a 2500+ Barton

Howdy All,
I need a good recommendation here. I have an "approved" HSF for the CPU, but the heat is too much for taste. The conditions for the computer (under my desk) were perfect for a 1600+, but I am getting worried here.
I am a little cash constrained right now so if there is a good one for under $20 (newegg) or FS lmk!

Thanks,
Bloink

Hmm, does it has to be at newegg? If you want to order from newegg I'd suggest the ALX-800 (what I'm currently using). I got it for $18 or $19 at newegg I believe. SVC has the SLK-947 for $20 right now (retails at $50 or so) but your motherboard needs mounting holes to use that. But actually if you're not overclocking, you could also try one of the Speeze HSFs, like the Falconrock. A lot of people seem to recommend those for non-overclocked systems. Search for Speeze on newegg and I think the falconrock is around $10-15. Good luck.

I might also add that the ALX-800 and the SLK-947 do not come with fans so you'd have to get those separately, so if you're really looking to stay under $20 I'd go with the Speeze.

I just bought a SPEEZE CPU Cooler for AMD, Model "5F394B1L3G" -RETAIL from Newegg for my new Athlon 2600+ Mobile.

Link

It is all copper with an comes with an 80 mm fan, keeps the CPU (at 2.2 GHz) around 49 Degrees C under load.

Not a bad deal for $ 17.49 ($ 13.49 + $ 4.00 Shipping)

The SPEEZE "Falconrock" Aluminum & Copper model did not look bad either, and is a few bucks less.

Good Luck.
