Yeah I think its Gigabyte's marketing at work. Looks to just be an AGP slot.

If you look closely on the sticker the A stands for AGP. Can't make out the rest though.

Looks like maybe Gigabye E AGP R

Looking at the pics, it looks like from the pics it could be just a AGP slot. I didn't see anything else that it could be.

Looks like the lame AGP slot on Intel 9xx boards that only has 133MB/s of bandwidth.

I just read the manual and it's marketese *no surprise to any of us* Gigabyte Enhanced AGP riser  a 4x/8x AGP slot so it's backwards compatable.

EDIT: It says it can shorten your card's life due to tech spec differences

AGP was a sizable technical overhaul to the PCI specification, wiring it directly to the CPU/RAM, pumping up the speed, etc, while still maintaining/using the base PCI communication protocol. As a result, AGP cards are capable (in theory) of stepping back down to a form of PCI communication(it still requires proper voltage though), but it's a side-effect; no one really designed a R9800 or a GF6800 to do this, so it's a generic warning that bad things may happen since it's untested/unvalidated.

there are already preliminary benches on these psuedo agp slots built on the pci-express bus, they suck.
