What is a feature that you'd like to see in an mp3 player (that isn't common already)?

Hello. I'm going to present a presention about an mp3 player next week. Its for a class focused on presentation skils, so content does not matter as much, just has to be technical.

Anyways, I was wondering if any of you had any ideas of some crazy features (yet possible in the next 5 years or so). This feature can be for any player, Apple, Rio , Creative, etc.. however, please don't list longer battery, more storage, time travel =P.

I appreciate any help to make this presentation more interesting.

btw, my presentaiton is current to make a hybrid mp3 player, one with hd and solid state memory. But as of now, its lacking some "piazz!"

That's what I'd like to see, exactly that, a HDD based player xxGB with a user adjustable 'buffer memory slot' so the player can preload random tracks onto it. Then when it gets close to running out of solidstate memory it alerts you to avoid rough movement while it reloads another set of songs. This way you can take your collection with you and minimize the risk of the HDD crashing because you are jogging or biking, etc.

Ability to load open/free 'codecs' would be nice too.

haha, thanks y'all for all the suggestions. for now, bluetooth, wifi, wireless remote (wristband) and wireless earbuds (both bluetooth), atomic clock, and gps tracker (just for tracking a lost ipod) is in. price: $350.

need more suggestions!! all these are great!

p2Player

Wifi enabled p2player software.. When players are near each other they automatically talk to each other (think furby type networking) and then on the screen you see something like:

See What That guy has on his p2Player.. If there are any songs on there you like you can take them and he is notified!

RIAA will never go for that.

You might be able to go for the ability to just stream the music from other players, like in iTunes (as opposed to ourTunes . . )

There's a Lexar MP3 player that has that...I heard it sucks, though..not too powerful..

I just thought of one more that would be simple, but a huge boon to functionality:

A single, user-assignable hardware button.

Everyone is rushing to emulate apple's style of a friendly UI and very few hardware buttons. Just one button that you could assign any single task in addition to your standard buttons (play/pause, ff, rew, navigation, volume) to would be great.
One button access to:
shuffle, mute, backlight, a certain menu, am/fm tuner mode, etc
