What is a fair price to pay for a futon?

Thinking of buying a futon to save some space. I went to IKEA and the prices seems outrages. I don't want a super name brand one either. Just something basic. I'm thinking of visiting them little mom & pop furniture stores. What kind of price seems fair? This is my first time shopping for furniture sadly enough

Well.... if you get the cheap ones from Walmart or something... well it's cheap and your back will hate you.
