What is a coke furnace?

Coke furnace is an extremely hot furnace that uses coke as fuel to make steel. Look up coke, it is neither a soda nor a drug.

I make and repair the conveyor equipment that they use in coke ovens.Its some dirty nasty crap thats not fun to be around.Its really just a carbonized coal thats used in blast furnaces in steel mills.

I worked on one of those during summer break during college...I had to do what that guy was doing....if there was yellow smoke coming out, you take a brush and apply sealant to stop it...nasty nasty sulphur smoke

full respirator mask, hard hat, thermal underwear, and fireproof yellow coat and pants..in the blazing sun....it was a wonderful job
