What is a "black cow"?

The UDFs (United Dairy Farmers) in Cincinnati have "Brown Cow" and "Pink Cow" drinks....the first being vanilla ice cream and A&W root beer, the latter uses strawberry cream soda.

I haven't seen one in many many years, but a Block Cow was like a Sugar Daddy sucker, but instead of being carmel flavored, they were dark chocolate flavored, if I remember correctly. I never cared for them so I'm not real sure what they tasted like.
