It is from the XP line, and was made in the Palomino and T-bred flavors. BTW, 1700+ t-bred B was the sweetheart of the AMD overclocking crowd@the time, hitting 2.4ghz+ on air fairly often.

Mfor Hire is correct.

for reference.

1 T-bird = Thunderbird core
2 Palomino
3 T-bred = Throughbred

There were no 1700+ thunderbirds. As a matter of fact the PR rating came in with the Palominos to compare them to a thunderbird. The 1700+ could be a Palomino but they ran hot. Not good overclockers.

The next generation was the thoroughbred...there were 1700+ throughbreds. And they came in an A and B version. They were on a smaller process than the Palomino and ran a lot cooler and like someone said they...overclocked well...especially the throughbred B....not the throughbred A.

So if you have a throughbred B 1700+ you have a winner.
