I need to find somewhere with a higher interest rate for my $.

I have an e*trade money market plus account and it pays 2.33% interest.

Does anyone know of anyplace that will offer more?

Thanks.

P.S. My e*trade checking account pays about 0.40%........arghhh

I think ING savings accounts offer 3%. Really though if you want a higher percent return on your money you shouldn't be looking at savings accounts. You will be barely keeping up with inflation. I suggest you look into some mutual funds or maybe bonds.

"Interest?" What is this, "interest" you speak of?

I do believe you have to actually have what is known as a "BALANCE" in your accounts to gain this "interest." I have no such "balance."

I just got an invitation from ING. They seem to be now offering 2.01%. Same as WAMU.

2.96%(3.00% yield) at Presidential Bank with their internet checking.

$1500 initial deposit, $1000 minimum thereafter, at least $200 direct deposited per month.

EDIT: they've changed their requirements

Where?
Probably nowhere, Pepsi90919 hasn't checked his rate in awhile. I notice eTradeBank dropped my rates again this month. Since I don't carry a CC balance I really miss the good old days of 6% APY :( .

Be careful of the fine print, their 3% promo is a lie:

Unlimited Checking pays a 3.00% APY on balances up to $25,000, 1.75% APY on balances in excess of $25,000.* Account includes free checks and free billpayer.

Looks sleazy to me. eTrade has a straightforward new-account bonus not a scam teaser rate.

I've been getting this rate for a year, at least.

Most internet checking accounts reduce rate after a certain balance ceiling.
