Hey all. I have a Pentium 3 866 that runs at 1.1 GHz (170 FSB) with no problems, and I've always wanted to list it in the CPU database, but I don't want to take the fan off to get the ID string.

There is some info on the side of the box it came in. Does anyone know how to decypher it?

The first number denotes the factory (7=Philippines, L=Malaysia, 3=Costa Rica, etc.), the second number is the year (0=2000), and the last four digits compose the batch identification.
SL4MD = cCO stepping! :)

thank you both!

but I still don't know the manufacturing week of the CPU. Is this info on the box or do I have to take the fan off for that?

Now that's rare.... a cC0 stepping PIII that does 1.1GHz stable. Damn.... pretty damn unusual to see that from a Coppermine core outside of the cD0 stepping.
Very nice!
