What information can be found from an ISP number?

Can you enter the ISP number as a URL and get to a web site?

It doesn't seem to work for me.

Thanks.

One thing I've noticed is that several ISPs will use the same dial-up number. I guess that is because they all use UUNET.

try 411 or some sort of service that traces a number back to a company.

or call the phone company and ask. try the operator. the simplest solutions are sometimes the right ones

do you really mean ISP as in Internet Service Provider?

Or to you mena IP as in Internet Protocol?

IP addresses can be entered into the address bar to go to a website.
-edit-

If in fact you want to run a WhoIs query, then go here DSL Reports Whois Query

Yikes, the heat must be getting to me. I meant to type "IP".

When I enter the IP address into the address bar I get a 'server not responding' message.

Any suggestions?
