What in the ... ???

I have no idea what happened.

Just for curisosity's sake I ran the Silent Hunter III system scanning tool and it highlighted my CPU speed at 800some Mhz. What??? A quick look online says that processor should be running at 2200Mhz.

What in the ... ???

I don't even know where to begin with this problem. Any suggestions?

I had tooled with the bios for some video card troubleshooting. Probably a good place to start. I've never fooled with overclocking a CPU, don't believe in it. However, I think using such a tool to clock it back to stock speeds might do the trick for me.

Anyone? Your comments/suggestions/posts are thanked in advance.

I believe you have cool and quiet enabled. If you run something cpu intensive your cpu should go up in clock speed.

Wow.

Yeah, I might have Cool&Quiet enabled. I'll check on that when I get home tonight. Was not aware it could have that effect.

Thank you for the advice.
