What if....

Intel and AMD were the same price clock for clock. Say a T-bird 1GHZ cost $175 and a P3-1GHZ cost $175? What would you get? As for the the Duron/Celeron, I think most of us will say Duron anyday. But really which one would you pick IF they were the same price clock for clock?

AMD for me, i dunno why, i used to have a K6-2 400, i hated it, so i went to a celeron 366@550 and liked it, and just recently(sine my BM6 for some reason would not support a PIII or celeron faster than 600) I got a duron, and i am very happy with it. So i would go AMD.

I think clock for clock, PIII were fastest last time I checked, this may have changed though with drivers etc.

Anyway, I'd go with the AMD

Personally, I like AMD. T-bird...Duron...it doesn't matter.

Give me AMD over Intel any day (I know, one of my systems still uses a P3, but trust me, pretty soon you'll be seeing an AMD-themed change for that system😉)

i think i've completely made the switch to amd, i don't think i'd go back to intel

especially now that there's an alternative OC'er to the celerons (durons)
