What if you used Mp3 technology with a .MOD(remember this music format?)?

Do you guys remember the old .mod music format? Is there a format that combines mods and mp3s? For instance, encode the samples with mp3 compression, then use the rest of the mod format as it was originally programmed. You could have pretty good quality songs < 10k in size easily. I think I have to much free time at work to let my mind wonder. Oh well 😛

Hrm. Imagine what Future Crew could've done then...

I think the most amazing thing was what they did with what few samples they used. Some of their works were, quite simply, amazing. 🙂

I used MOD with Win 3.1 and a to play MOD files I had a DOS MOD player. It was great, riding on the edge of the mp3 revolution. 😛

How does mod compression work? Mp3 compression is its own thing, like its pretty compressed as it is, i dont think u can compress it anymore with the mp3 part.
