The title says it all. I was just looking at some macs, and i hafta say, they look pretty good, I just don't like Macs b/c I don't wouldn't use them for what they're designed for.

But seriously, if a Mac look-a-like offered intel or amd cpu w/ windows or linux support, and all other stuff aside (gpu, battery life, blah, blah, blah), would you buy it?

based off kaido's recent post.

And if you're talking about laptops, then you can go and get a Macbook Pro and have an Intel cpu, Linux support, possibly Windows XP support, and most likely Windows Vista support.

They're just computers. AFAIK, now that Apple has switched to Intel, the only thing that really differentiates a Macintosh from any other PC is the EFI that replaces the BIOS.

Hopefully, they will ditch the single button + touchpad deal on their notebooks and offer two buttons instead.

If you like generic white, just paint your PC white. I just don't think white is any better looking than beige.
