I quit drinking coffee a month ago and literally have not had a headache since.
It makes no difference in how alert you are if you drink the same amount of coffee everyday compared to drinking no coffee. If you increase how much coffee you drink you just get more and more dependent on coffee and get a withdrawal headache easier and easier.
I wake up in the morning and I'm fully alert, right away. I don't stumble around for 30 minutes until I drink some coffee. Which by the way, and you know this, sometimes you don't really feel like drinking first thing in the morning, especially when its summer and hot out but do so anyway.
So then you get an iced coffee but you have no idea how strong it is and you'll inevitably get a headache either that day if its weak or sometime later if its stronger than your normal brew.
80% of people are caffeine dependent. Suckers
