How much do you think a company would make in a single day if they put an advertisement (image link) on http://www.google.com?

How much do you think companies would pay to advertise like this?

I think that they would make about a 20000000000000000000000% increase in profit.

and I think companies would pay about 200000000000000000000.01 for the add.

Do you think Google would do this in the future?

Well, google is one of the internet's largest advertizing companies - I'm sure they've thought about doing it, but not done so for a good reason.
 
Believe it or not, but google.com isn't the most visited site on the web. It is the most popular search engine, but yahoo.com still has the most hits, next msn.com, then google.

well it also helped that picasa went from shareware to freeware after google bought them

Think about how many hits MSN receives just from people that never change their home page. A lot.

heh, reminds me of the Wendy's "unnoficial" spokesperson. I wouldnt mind being the "unnoficial spokesperson" for Google
 
Google has advertisements. Just do a search and based on your keyword, an advertisement will be on your results page (under "Sponsored Links").
