I was wondering............. if Kerry & Edwards or Bush & Cheny (sp?) get killed before the election......... will the election be postponed?

Just wondering (not a US citizen)

each party will select a new presidential candidate

but the incumbent will be the speaker of the house

Just because you are not a US Citizen does not mean you lack all common sense, does it? How could there *not* be an election. What would everyone do? Sit around and scratch their heads?

Obviously there would be an election but wopuld it be in Nov or sometime later on?

the DNC and RNC would "pick" replacements, but depending on the rules of the states that hold primary elections, they might have to do a special primary election to make it legal


there are rules covering this written down someplace, try the web site of the Federal Election Commission
