What if either the Dem or Rep presidential candidates gets killed

I was wondering............. if Kerry & Edwards or Bush & Cheny (sp?) get killed before the election......... will the election be postponed?

Just wondering (not a US citizen)

Just because you are not a US Citizen does not mean you lack all common sense, does it? How could there *not* be an election. What would everyone do? Sit around and scratch their heads?

I'm not sure, but I figure the dem or rep party will just nominate a replacement.

the DNC and RNC would "pick" replacements, but depending on the rules of the states that hold primary elections, they might have to do a special primary election to make it legal
