i just headed to the Hard forums a few minutes ago to see how things were after a few years away from it, to find out that the General Mayhems (off topic) is now a paid subscriptions only forum. my thoughts were, "how ghey is this sh1t?'. what if ATOT was a subscription forum. would you pay to play? i wouldnt!

If there were a free trial period before having to pay... yes. Assuming i had not been here before. There are other sites that are subscription only to enter. Since I cannot see if it is worth it or not, I just find another site. If I could look around first, I could make an informed decision.

As far as Anandtec... yes, I would pay for it. And I think it would be an entirely different place in OT and P&N if it were subscriptio only.
