What (if any) performance differences will I notice with a 8mb cache hard drive versus a 2mb cache HD?

I am considering replacing my slave hard drive with a Western Digital 80gb, 8mb cache HD....is the additional cost for a 8mb cache HD worth it (versus a 2mb cache HD)?

Thanks.

There is a small bit of boost, mostly when you are moving alot of files around. Overall I think its worth the $10 difference you usually find.

The drive will benchmark better, that's about it. The perceptible difference between the 2 isn't there. ?That said, for an extra $10 or so, you might as well. The biggest reason to go for the 8MB is you still get a 3 year warranty vs a 1 year for 2MB versions.

I found the JB to be perceivably faster than my IBM75GXPs but I don't feel a difference between the JB and BB models. I'd go for the JB just for the 3-year warranty as Pariah mentioned.
