When logging in tonight to check my rarely used RR acct, i was presented with a window to provide better security. Now, usually there is at least a single verification question that would be good, but these ones suck.

Choose a question below. This question will be used to verify your identity in the future for password retrieval.

Security Verification Question: Enter your answer. This answer will be used to verify your identity in the future for password retrieval.

Note: The Answer you enter will be case-sensitive. For example, BLUE will not be the same as blue.

My options are;

1. What is your favorite movie?
2. What is your favorite song?
3. Who is your favorite author?
4. Who is your favorite musical group?

Seriously? Wouldn't it make sense to provide a question that could at least have a STATIC answer and not something that could change month to month, or be impossible to remember? Just seems a bit asinine, right? Just me?

Yeah, I agree but then again with something static like "Mothers maiden name" it's fairly easy for someone to figure out.

True, but everyone knows that the Backstreet Boys are aphex's favorite musical group.

comcast's log in page is javascript based. loads the login/pass boxes and then an 'ad'...once the ad finishes it automatically puts your cursor at the login box usually mid password.

Got to love poor coders. Could easily add script to not re-direct the cursor if anything has been typed.

Also I use the same non-sensical answer to security questions. It's something no-one can look up or know about me...there was no rhyme or reason to it. An online form nor operator care if the answer makes sense. Just as long as you answer with what they are looking for.

Actually following my recent music threads, I would have guessed you would say Miley Cyrus :)

My favorite these days is when they have those little windows with text that are supposed to foil any attempts to use scripts, etc, and the text is so convoluted that even I can't read it. Like those Guiness commercials, BRILLIANT!!
