What I think about Super Mario Sunshine for Gamecube ...

Okay the game is good, and I like it alot. It didn't do for me what Mario 64 did for me in it's time. This game is pretty much more of the same, which is by no means a bad thing at all. It's Mario 64 w/better graphics pretty much. I really like this game!

But the one thing I CANT STAND is the CAMERA!!! I HATE IT! At first it was okay, but when you get farther into the game it just gets worse and worse as you have to do harder and harder things. Anyone had to stop the ferris wheel yet? OMG the camera is HORENDOUS!!

That is about the only gripe that I have about this game now. After wiating 6 years for a new mario game, why couldn't they atleast do something better w/the camera angles?

that seems to be the general view on the camera view. Otherwise most people seem to like it

yea, it's pretty bad. the water gun talking is pretty bad too. everyone talks in the game but mario. it's like he's mute or something.

Yea they said it was more evolutionary than revolutionary. I dunno...the reviews are good, and I loved Mario 64, but the commercials for it are the GAYEST EVER. Seriously.

yea, they pretty bad commercials. the best commercial right now though is the nike presto commerical with the guy running away from the chicken. coolest commerical ever.

Mario 64's automatic camera was quite good, so you have to question Miyamoto for switching to the manual camera in SMS. I'm slowly getting better at working the control stick and the C-stick (camera) at the same time; I figure a few more hours and it should become second nature.

The game is fun so far. The storyline is so-so (I guess Eternal Darkness and Halo spoiled me), but it's an excellent platformer nonetheless.

i just got the game and a gamecube, the game is fun, I played the heck out of mario 64. The camera is hard to get accustomed to, but the yellow control thing is pretty good once you get the hang of it, I naturally am constantly messing with the camera with that thing every once in a while, it does become second nature. I also picked up resident evil, and am thinking about wave race (I really liked it on the 64) Any other games I should take a look at?

Eternal Darkness should be your next purchase; if you enjoy Resident Evil-type games, but crave something more wicked.

Super Smash Brothers Melee will steal your life away. Also, Super Monkey Ball rocks multiplayer. I think the sequel just came out, also. I'm going to have to get that for more Monkey Ball fun.

One gripe with this game, GRAPHICS!! Water effects are nothing short of amazing, better than Morrowind, but the characters aren't detailed at all. Cmon, this is supposed to be next gen hardware here, take advantage of it.

I think the game is great!

Everyone is whining about the camera angles... all you have to do is use the c-stick to move the camera wherever you want. I haven't had any camera problems at all yet, even with that puzzle behind the ferris wheel that everyone seems to be bitching about.
