and, for the record, i thought it was a great movie.
i'm an ex ricer, and while it was totally exaggerated, it was just mindless entertainment. Nobody claimed it to be a documentary on the import race scene, so why scrutinize it then? There are plenty of worse movies out there that were overrated as well (i presume some of the distaste from the movie stems from the fact that it was so popular among young people).

Wow, a fully modded Supra vs a Ferrari.
That would actually probably be a really good race. In this case, I think the FF Supra would trash a Ferrariout of the hole up to...140 or so, then the Ferrari may start gaining back ground.

it was more show than go though. i remember reading the specs on ebay when it was being sold. it did have some speed, but no speed in the world would justify the stickers on that car. i liked the orange though, and the spoiler too. 😀
And what was that ferrari? wasn't it a 512 or something, i can't recall, but it wasn't a super fast one. in real life a heavily modded supra would kill a stock ferrari. And I doubt the ferrari would gain on the supra in the end, the supra would probably be behind until the turbo kicked in, and then the race would be over.
