...is that you are a public servant and have to take abuse.
I normally don't post stories about my day, but sometimes you just gotta vent I guess...
So, this guy comes to the counter to apply for a permit to take up parking space. I inform him that its $50/day, and he calls us a "bunch of assholes." He then hands me his application, and says "Here, asshole..."
I reply by saying "You're very nice." He says "Same to you, jerk."
I look at his application and see that its for 2 days, and he tries to argue with me about how we count days. He looks at the information on the application, sees that it is not defined as a 24 hour period, and says to me "I bet you wouldn't treat me this way if I were Asian..." And then informs me he would like to talk to my boss...
Of course, I can;t just let this go, and ask him "What was that Asian comment about?"
He goes "You'd treat me better if I were Asian, but maybe not, you seem like a d1ck."
So, I just went from being a racist to a d1ck for doing my job. My boss comes out, he explains the legislation, and the guy is still throwing a fit. He finally walks away with a parting "Assholes!"
Ok, I'm done. Hopefully, he tries to take up the space anyways and gets hit with the fine. Hehe, I wouldn't be surprised if someone on this board starts a thread with "Why I hate the government..." and rehases this story. I forgot who it was in the other thread about the government today that was making mindless insults towards those who work for the government, but I think I just met him in real life.
