What I Hate About Battlefield 1942

So I beat the game as the allies and had a blast. Everything progressed as it should.

Then, I play the game as the Axis, and it's the same damn missions. I beat the allies horribly in every battle, yet I'm getting ready to defend Berlin. How did that happen??? If I'm beating them in Normandy, how did they get ashore? Why are they in Berlin if I just beat them at the Battle of the Bulge?

You would have thought the designers would have made a slightly different scenario for the axis part of the game.

There aren't scenarios ... you just follow a storyline where your actions have no consequence on the campaing.

Play it online ... it's MUCH more fun.

If they did do that, the game would be very short. They are counting on the gamers to not think rationally. Most wouldn't think through the actualy scenario.

Until someone generate's your key. I bought it Tuesday, so I could play online, and my key was invalid. Dammit.

Yes ... run regedit.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\ergc

See if the key inside corresponds to your legit key (if not, type it in).

Wow.

BDawg, singleplayer FPS games aren't going to gey any better, so deal with it.

Thanks. I've asked if this was possible on other forums, and got no replies. I'll be on tonight, if this works!

I discovered this after I bought a second copy of the game, and kept getting the "CD Key In Use" ... when you uninstall, the key stays in the registry. You have then to manually change it.

I tried the demo of this game and was very unimpressed. Very buggy and a resource hog. The game sucks compared to Wolfenstein.
