What HT setting?

Neither will make much differance. It's usualy best to keep it under 1000 for stability reasons. Sometimes you can go slightly over and still be stable, but performance wise, it's not really going to make a differance. If 1040 is stable you can stick with it, if not, going to 780 isn't going to hurt performance.
