What HSF for P4 2.4C? AVC Sunflower or Stock?

I plan on running a 2.4C at least at 3ghz or more (depending on chip). I have an AVC Sunflower from back in the days and also a stock HSF. Which one is better? Are the stock HSF of a 2.4C different than that of a 2.0A?

I'm using SLK900U with Panaflo 92mm, 48cfm, 28db with 2.4c@3.5@1.525 stable and that also includes hot summer days.

sorry guys.. i meant to ask which of the two (the stock one, or the AVC) would you use. I already have these two in my possesion and don't want to spend more money. I ask because i know the avc sunflower was better than the stock heatsinks for the P4 400 fsb but i'm not sure if intel upgraded the stock hsf for the 800 fsb processors...

a cheaper alternative to the two might be a copper p4 3.0 Retail HSf. Idon't know how well the AVC will holdd up with these new northwoods I think it came out back last year right?

thanks for all the advice guys. but i'm not tryingto get a new hsf. I'm just deciding between the stock 2.4c HSF or an AVC sunflower since i already have both of these in my possesion. i know the avc sunflower is better than the stock hsf of the P4 'A' and 'B' but i'm not sure if intel change the fan on the 'C' processors..

I agree on the Zalman. I use it too, and temps are very nice and steady even at 3.0Ghz (2.4C). Although, currently I'm running it at 2.64 and 1:1 and am really happy with the performance. CPU temp is 33 right now. Just browsing the forums, and listening to music.

Bottom line: You can't go wrong with the Zalman AlCu.

Edit: Sorry, didn't notice you wanted an opinion on just those two HSF. I can't help you there.

dang people, can't you read. ITS JUST BETWEEN THE TWO HEATSINKS HE CURRENTLY HAS!!!

my answer: try them both yourself and see which gives lower temps.

Yeah, if the thread was suggestions for an HSF I'd say Zalman, just like mine. But I'd say between the two choices I'd go with the stock HSF. But remove the thermal tape and use some good thermal transfer compound instead. Like the Ceramique as someone mentioned, plus you'll have enough left to mount your Zalman when you submit to our side.
