What Home DVD player is right for me?

Looking for a home dvd player. I need it to play DVDs and would be nice if it played Vcds and mp3 cd's, and burned cd's. Im not familiar with brand names in dvd players, how is sampo? what do u think is the right player for me under $140 using coupons and stuff?? Please help me out!

Sony DVP-360 is a tight home dvd player and can be found under 200 bucks. It's probably going to be the cheapest DVD player of decent quality that you can find. Sound and Vision Magazine reviewed it not too long ago and gave it stellar marks for it's price range.

Good luck finding a DVD player that plays CD-R's, 99% only play CD-RW's.

The Toshiba SD1200 is a solid model, though i dont know if it'll play all those formats. My local 6th Ave. store had it for $150 with a coupon this week. You can try to see if you can find it that cheap anywhere else. It usually retails for a little under $200.

just bought my AIWA player yesterday.
it was on sale for 199.99 at circuit city
and it plays all of those formats

I agree with the pioneer....It can be found for around $200 and it's the only one in that price range that I could find that will play CD-R and CD-RW's......
