What heatsink is this?

I know someone who broke off the little plastic clip that holds the heatsink to the motherboard. I thought some heatsinks connected to the motherboard through the 4 little holes around the cpu socket. If he could get one of these heatsinks he can still use his motherboard. Does anyone know what heatsinks connect to the motherboard by using the 4 little holes instead of the clip?

Alpha PAL8045 and Swiftech 462 use the holes. You need to make sure they will fit on their motherboard, however. They don't fit on all due to components being in the way.

Another option is something like that Thermalright AX-7 that clips on using all 3 clips on each side. One missing won't bother it.

i 2nd the taisol cgk760092 if its only a few tabs broken, cuz it uses a three tab clip....


ax-7 is nice too... i want to get one of those and replace my taisol cgk760092....

its all broken the other two are goood....
