sennheiser HD 570's they cost about 50 bucks (though they retailed for 150, i found a good deal online)
I use Koss : The Plug earbud type things for my cd player when i'm on the go. these were like 5 bucks, but sounds pretty decent and do a good job filtering out outside noise.

Don't feel too bad, the 280 pros are said to be the best sealed cans you can buy.

And for $40, that's an awesome deal. :)

They do sound pretty awesome, and they keep getting better with age. My ears get pretty sweaty after extended use though.

I just wish I could afford the 580s

I have Sennheiser RS85s, Sennheiser HD600s, and Bose Triports. I may have used all of them, combined, for maybe 3 hours during the last year.

$40 is indeed an awesome deal, but BOOO, A500s are the best sealed cans in the ~$100 range. A900s are the best period (~$200). RAWRR!

Plantronics Audio .90
I'm not an audiophile, but they sound pretty damn good to me for less than 30 bucks. They definitely sound better for games than my Altec Lansing 3 piece speakers.

Beyerdynamic DT770Pro's.

I got em for $80 on ebay, but they normally sell for $230. They are damn good, I haven't heard any that I like better.

Koss headphones I got for about $20 at Wal*Mart. They work good, great sound quality.

All you who paid $80 for the HD280pros can laugh at me - I paid 100  They do rock though. I considered the 5x0's, but prefer closed phones and didn't want to spend more than $100.

Sennheiser MX 400 earbuds for about $14. one of the best $14 i've spent. anyone with a portable MP3 player needs to ditch the junk earbuds that come with it and get these (even iPod owners who adore their white earbuds).

i also have a set of Sony Eggos, i forget teh model numbers. i sold my open-air Sennheisers because i couldn't use them anywhere quiet, and then got the Eggos. they are very lightweight and comfortable. they sound nice too :)

No thoughts? Do all the wireless ones suck?

i think for the most part wireless headphones aren't that great.
