What HD should I buy?

What I do on my computer : 50% Games, 30% web, 20% for the rest
Rig : I have an Epox 8k5A2+, witch has raid connection.. not sure if I should go into raid
Current HD : [Primary IBM 60GXP - 60gigs] - [Secondary old fujitsu - 6 gigs (well I can get rid of that one you know)]
Can put X$ on it : Hum.. Lets say I can go up to 170$-200$ (USD)

Well I've had enough of being short on free space lately on my Harddrives

So I might need a damn new Hard Drive (here goes money on the computer again). I need SPACE, I mean.. I don't want to hear about "buying a new HD" for a long time.. so I need at least 120gb.

Lately I went away from the computer world... working a lot on a job that has no link to computers.. well I really have no idea what to buy.
From what I know the best $/gig ratio would be 120gig. And IBM180GXP seems good from the few reviews I cheked but I can't find anywhere where they sell it.. (damn CANADA I want to move... one day :( )

**EDIT**
BTW do you think I should wait for new HD to come out soon or something?

Get a Seagate Barracuda V, either 80 or 120g w/ 8mb cache. I can't reccomend WD anymore, and certainly not an IBM.

Get two of the new Maxtor 80 gig 8 meg cache fluid bearing. $106 each at newegg, but I just got two of them at Fry's for $99 and $30 rebate EACH (don't know if the deal is still on)

Why not recommand them?
This reminds me when people told me not to buy an IBM60GXP because there was a lot of 75GXP that blew up. Well my point on that is that its not a question of brand but more like a question of model.

See, I won't buy an "Honda", I will buy a "Civic"
Brands is secondary for me, I need arguments that proves things like.. lets say the Hitachi 180GXP is not a good buy. I don't wanna hear the "IBM HD all blow" argument.

Personal experience and hearing a lot of other people experiencing the drive get noisy on them after a few months. It's not a drive failure problem, just noise. The seagate is superior in that dept.

Sometimes manufacturers can let their QC slip to the point that it affects successive products. This was the case where the 75GXP was not very reliable, and neither was the 60GXP. Hopefully they've gotten better.

Take a look at storagereview.com for advice/info on buying a harddrive.
